General Dynamics - to Equip U.S. Army Stryker Brigade with New Land Warrior System

General Dynamics C4 Systems has been awarded a $70 million contract to equip the 5th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division Stryker Brigade Combat Team (5/2 SBCT) with a new, lighter-weight version of the Land Warrior integrated fighting system.

DRS - Roof Assemblies for the Maxx Pro MRAP Vehicle

DRS Technologies, Inc. has announced that it has received two contract awards valued at $34 million to manufacture 2,500 armored roof assemblies for the International Military and Government LLC MaxxPro(TM) 4 x 4 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle. International Military and Government LLC (IMG) is a unit of Navistar International Corporation (NYSE: NAV).

QinetiQ - environmental trials on MAN military trucks

QinetiQ has just completed a series of rigorous environmental trials on 12 different types of MAN military logistic trucks in its test chambers at MOD Boscombe Down. The trials are part of an independent 18-month evaluation contract for the new supply vehicles fleet for the MOD’s General Support Vehicles IPT.

Curtiss Wright Acquires Benshaw Advanced Controls & Drives

Curtiss-Wright Corporation has announced that it has acquired the stock of Benshaw Advanced Controls & Drives, of Pittsburgh, PA, for approximately $102 million in cash. Benshaw is a market leader in the design, development and manufacture of mission critical motor control and protection product solutions for leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and industrial customers. The business will become part of Curtiss-Wright's Flow Control segment.
