UK MoD unveils new protected vehicles

In addition to the 150 RIDGBACK vehicles on order, the MoD is purchasing more than 85 new VIKING and JACKAL protected vehicles for troops in Afghanistan and has unveiled two new vehicle types, RIDGBACK and PANTHER.

Marshall SV - 1000th Load Bed for MoD Support Vehicle

The 1000th load bed for the Ministry of Defence’s new Support Vehicle has been delivered by Marshall Specialist Vehicles, the Cambridge based specialist vehicle and shelter manufacturer, to the prime contractor, MAN Truck and Bus Ltd.

Hobson Industries - New Armouring Techniques

Over the last 8 years Hobson Industries has been upgrading and re-armouring Land Rover steel armoured vehicles for the Police Service of Northern Ireland. Essentially this was a highly manoeuvrable vehicle suited to the streets of Belfast and other towns but with cross-country ability.

General Dynamics - USD $67.3m modification to a previously awarded contract

French army upgrade armoured vehicles

In January 2008, Nexter Systems delivered the 100th upgraded AMX10RC armoured vehicle to the French Army. This delivery took place in the scope of a contract, awarded by the French Procurement Authority (DGA) in December 2000, for the upgrading of 256 AMX10RC armoured vehicles.
