Aircam will be in Hall 4, Stand G11, together with Multistation SAS, where they will show aerospace parts made in the new, larger Arcam A2 system for Free Form Fabrication in fully dense metals, including titanium alloy Ti6Al4V.
The Arcam A2 features a choice of two build tanks, enabling a build envelope of either 200 x 200 x 350 mm, or a diameter of 300 mm with a height of 200 mm.Arcam A2 also features a completely new power supply, enabling improved beam control and a more advanced heat model to increase build speed and precision. A new software is also introduced, with new features such as automatic calibration, for enhanced accuracy. Arcam's EBM machines and Powder Recovery System enable cost-efficient Rapid Manufacturing of complex aerospace parts with high productivity and material specifications to industry standards. Other typical applications are medical implants and high end automotive manufacturing. Applications are also found within other industries with rigorous requirements on strength, corrosion and temperature resistance.
