Allen-Vanguard confirms U.S. Department of Defense intent to establish an IDIQ contract for up to 7,500 Symphony IED countermeasure systems


Allen-Vanguard Corporation ('Allen-Vanguard' or the 'Company') (TSX:VRS) of Ottawa, Canada, confirms that the U.S. Department of Defense ('DoD') has posted a notice of intent to establish an IDIQ contract for the procurement of up to 2,500 SYMPHONY IED countermeasure systems per year for a period of 3 years with associated spares, initial operations support, installation equipment and support, on the job training, and in-theater field service support from Lockheed Martin.

Allen-Vanguard is the supplier of Symphony component sets to Lockheed Martin under the terms of a seven year Technology License and Supply Agreement between the two companies announced January 18, 2006.
