Cardiac Science a global leader in advanced cardiac diagnosis, resuscitation, rehabilitation, and informatics products, has announced it won a five-year contract from the Australian Defence Force for the initial supply of 170 Powerheart(R) G3 Pro(R) automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and accessories. The sale adds to a string of international wins including a 100-unit delivery to Eastern European military forces and a 300-unit delivery for public access defibrillators for train stations in the Netherlands. |

Based at Camp Bastion in Helmand province the new Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) will significantly increase the capabilities of the medical team who already provide excellent treatment for service personnel.

The USA DoD operational trials are underway in Iraq on new technologies that include a system developed by Med-Eng Inc. (Med-Eng), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Allen-Vanguard (Allen-Vanguard), to measure and understand Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) resulting from a soldier's exposure to high-impact events such as an improvised explosive device (IED). The DoD contract award was for several thousand systems at a value of approximately US$3.3M. |
