Science Applications International Corporation has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Acquisition Center -- Natick Contracting Division.
This multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will support the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC). The contract has a one year base period of performance, four one year options and a ceiling value of $20 million. Work will be performed at NHRC facilities across the U.S. as required. The NHRC develops and delivers operational biomedical research solutions that enhance the health, safety, readiness and performance of our military forces. Under the contract SAIC will provide support to NHRC by conducting biomedical, epidemiological and clinical research to help prepare and protect our nation's Warfighters. SAIC will provide services in areas including medical modeling and simulation, warfighter performance, HIV/AIDS Prevention, behavioral sciences and epidemiology. SAIC will also perform research in deployment health, submarine and aerospace medical effects, environmental health effects and directed energy bioeffects.
