SAIC - $98 Million Contract to Provide Support Services to Army Medical Research and Materiel Command

Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army to provide support services to the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC). This multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a ceiling value of $98 million.


USAMRMC, located at Fort Detrick in Maryland, manages the largest biomedical research and development portfolio within the Department of Defense (DOD). It also manages logistics, health facilities and information technology for the Army Medical Department.

Under this five-year follow-on contract, SAIC will provide USAMRMC with scientific and business support services facilitating research and development program planning, justifying programs within the Army and DOD, as well as to Congress, and evaluating alternatives for organizational change. SAIC will also support financial accounting, information technology, regulatory affairs and program management.
