BASS IPT want to deploy these landing craft to the Falkland Islands for a period of 2 years. Previously they were having to bring them back after one year due to corrosion, at a cost of £40,000 BASS IPT approached HITEK-nology Solutions Ltd to provide a solution that would result in the landing craft being able to stay down the Falkland Islands for a two year period, being available for use but protected from corrosion |

The U.S. Navy has given the go-ahead for a joint venture of IAP Worldwide Services and URS Corporation to move forward on the Global Contingency Construction (GCC) contract to provide construction and related engineering services to support Navy warfighters, natural disaster recovery, humanitarian assistance and emergency contingency response. |
