VPT - EMI Filters

VPT has added two new EMI filters to its new COTS product line, the VPT Series. The new VPTF10-28 (10A) and VPTF20-28 (20A) filter modules provide compliance to MIL-STD-461 C/D/E for conducted emissions in military and avionics DC-DC power systems.

Fuel Cells for Space Shuttle surpass expectations

UTC Power fuel cells, which generate all of the Space Shuttle's electrical power, surpassed 100,000 hours of flight operation during the recently completed STS-123 mission by the Orbiter Endeavour. UTC Power is a United Technologies Corp. company and produces and maintains the Space Shuttle fuel cells under contract to United Space Alliance, NASA's prime Shuttle contractor.

Spanish Navy supplied with fuel cell power module

UTC Power, has announced that it has signed a contract for the development phase of a program with Spanish shipbuilder Navantia, S.A., to supply a 300kW proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell power module for use in the Spanish Navy’s S-80 submarine.

C&K improves and enlarges its KSA switch series

Spaycool TRACER Contract

SprayCool,has announced that it has been selected by Lockheed Martin to provide the electronics chassis for the U.S. Army’s Tactical Reconnaissance and Counter-Concealment Enabled Radar (TRACER). The roughly $40M contract was awarded to Lockheed Martin to incorporate low frequency synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems into Predator class unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Eaton to design and develop lighted control panels for CH-53K

Eaton has been selected by Sikorsky Aircraft , a subsidiary of United Technologies to design, develop and supply the lighted control panels and dimming controllers for Sikorsky’s new military heavy-lift helicopter, the CH-53K helicopter, which is currently under development for the U.S. Marine Corps. This is in addition to Eaton’s contract for the helicopter’s hydraulic power generation system, integrated fuel system and fluid conveyance package awarded to Eaton in the third quarter of last year.

Low Noise Assemblies ('LNA') for F-16 APG-68 radar systems

Herley Industries, has announced the receipt of a contract for approximately $1.2 million from Hill Air Force Base to provide next-generation low noise assemblies ('LNA') for the U.S. and international Air Force F-16 APG-68 radar systems. As the receiver front end, the LNA receives incoming signals, then down converts these signals for processing.
