“2 in 1”component features excellent ergonomics
C&K Components introduces the K5AT, a surface mount, compact top actuation illuminated tactile switch. With an audible click, a sharp tactile feel and of a robust design, the combination of high performance switch and integrated LED backlighting makes the K5AT a “2 in 1” component. The standard 4N actuation force with 40N overload capability is a design feature worthy of note as the reset button application is sometimes harshly treated. If quick actuation response is required, the K5AT with audible click, sharp tactile feel and visual recognition by body colour or illumination gives three-way see-hear-touch confidence. Measuring just 8x8.4x6.1mm, C&K’s new K5AT switches are suitable for applications such as telecom and network infrastructure, server and storage reset buttons, and monitoring in the medical environment. High brightness single or bi-colour LED integrated illumination is available. Robustly and ergonomically designed, the K5AT has an operating life of 25,000 cycles. The RoHS-compliant devices also feature a gold plated dome contact delivering superior reliability. IP40 dust protection and flux-tight sealing are optionally available. |
