Microwave and RF component specialist Link Microtek has been appointed as the exclusive UK representative for the Defense and Security Division of Endwave Corporation, the California-based manufacturer of high-frequency components and subsystems.
Originally set up in 1991, Endwave has grown into a company with annual revenues of USD 57 million and along the way has acquired some well-known names in the microwave industry, such as TRW Milliwave, JCA Technology and, most recently, ALC Microwave.Endwave's extensive product range, which covers microwave frequencies from 1GHz to 100GHz, now includes log video amplifiers and other integrated subsystems from ALC, the JCA low-noise amplifier line, and a wide variety of Endwave high-frequency modules. Commenting on the new agreement, Link Microtek's sales manager Stuart Hendry said: 'This is an important development for Link Microtek because it gives our defence customers access to a first-class range of millimetre-wave amplifiers, as well as a comprehensive line-up of active microwave assemblies.' In addition, Link will also be offering Endwave's range of components for use in high-frequency imaging systems, which are increasingly in demand for airport security applications. Endwave's director of business development, Russ Alm, was equally pleased with the new arrangement: 'We are confident this will be a successful relationship, as Link Microtek has a good, professional team with an in-depth understanding of microwave technology and many years' experience in the industry.'
