Allen-Vanguard (published 10/06/2008)

Allen-Vanguard Corporation of Ottawa has received an order valued at USD $35 million from General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products ('General Dynamics') to supply spares for vehicle mounted electronic counter-measures equipment ('ECM' or 'jammers') for a U.S. Department of Defense ('DoD') customer.

The order announced today is part of approximately $50 million in ECM orders the Company previously stated were in progress when it announced its second quarter financial results on May 15, 2008. 'This spares order for DoD represents a commitment to the extensive installed base of our most battle-proven jammer,' said David E. Luxton, President and CEO. 'We are pleased to see this further increment to our backlog of ECM orders on the heels of the $10 million ECM order announced just days ago.'

The Company stated that it expects to begin delivery of the order in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year and to complete delivery of the main bulk of the order in the first quarter of fiscal 2009, which begins October 1, 2008.
