Boeing successfully flew its A160T Hummingbird unmanned rotorcraft for 18.7 hours May 14-15, claiming an unofficial world endurance record for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) weighing between 1,102 and 5,511 pounds (500 to 2,500 kilograms).

The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has awarded BAE Systems a five year contract worth £43.9 million to ensure the RAF’s VC10 tanking and transport fleet is available on the frontline to meet operational requirements.

SAIC Awarded Air Force $12 Million Contract for New Aircraft Component Repair Facility

Science Applications International Corporation has announced that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force to design, engineer and construct a new fixed and rotary-wing aircraft component repair facility at Robins Air Force Base (AFB) in Warner Robins, Ga. The award has an 18-month period of performance and a contract value of $12 million. Work will be performed by SAIC's wholly-owned subsidiary, The Benham Companies LLC.

Northrop Grumman Begins Installing New Engines On Joint STARS

The U.S. Air Force has awarded Northrop Grumman Corporation two undefinitized contracts, worth $300 million collectively, to complete non-recurring engineering, flight test/certification and begin production of new engines for the service's E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (Joint STARS) fleet.

Thales UK has announced the successful first flight of the WATCHKEEPER unmanned air vehicle (UAV) platform. Northrop Grumman - Contracts for the F-22 Raptor Fighter Jet Program

Northrop Grumman Corporation has received multiple contracts totaling $252 million from Lockheed Martin since Jan. 1, 2008 for the communications, navigation and identification (CNI) subsystem of the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter program. The awards include F-22 Production Lots 7, 8, 9 and spares, and modernization efforts for the CNI systems.
