QinetiQ has just been awarded an MOD contract worth almost £24 million over the next 10-years by the Harrier Integrated Project Team (IPT) for through-life support on the Harrier Aircraft. The contract supports the IPT in its key functions of delivering long term Harrier availability and capability, through to the Out-of-Service Date (OSD) in 2018. |

Boeing has been awarded a $14.9 million contract by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory to develop and mature technologies required to enable airborne electronic attack from long distances, filling the stand-off electronic attack role. The contract includes systems engineering studies focusing on potential pod installation on the B-52H aircraft, as the designated demonstration airframe. This effort will advance the technology required for the planned Core Component Jammer (CCJ). |

Boeing has said that the first C-130 Avionics Modernization Program (AMP) aircraft, H2, has completed its 100th flight. The aircraft, which is undergoing flight testing at Edwards Air Force Base (AFB), Calif., has flown several cross-country sorties and is ahead of development schedule. The milestone also marks the halfway point in the aircraft's flight-test program. |
