Marine and Railway Satcom Systems On Show At Satellite 2010 This Week

Orbit is attending Satellite 2010 with its range of satellite communication systems designed for use in Marine and Railway environments as well as onboard SatCom systems designed for use on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

Orbit Technology Group will be showcasing a range of its advanced satellite communications systems, including its marine and train SatCom solutions at Satellite 2010 show in the US. Located at The Gaylord National Convention Centre, just outside Washington DC, this year’s Satellite 2010 will take place March 16th-18th. Orbit will be exhibiting at the show in booth no. 1611.

With over 3000 installations worldwide, Orbit’s SatCom solutions are operating onboard a variety of marine, airborne, and land platforms using C, X, or Ku frequency bands. The company’s user friendly, flexible, robust and all weather stable antennas, feature advanced and innovative design with unmatched performance to size ratios. Orbit’s recently revamped global service operations represent a combination of advanced SatCom technologies, quick delivery, and comprehensive customer service.

Orbit’s marine VSAT systems presented at the show enable global satellite connectivity in all weather and sea conditions. Orbit provides uninterrupted broadband satellite communication for a variety of applications, including: Internet, TV, video, VoIP and telephony. The company’s marine solutions, including its flagship OrSat system, offer SatCom solutions and TVRO for oil & gas applications, commercial shipping, mega yachts, and cruise liners. Additionally, over twenty Navies worldwide, including some of the world’s foremost, are using Orbit's marine SatCom solutions.

The company’s SatCom systems for trains feature a low profile VSAT Ku-band mobile stabilized antenna system specifically designed for high speed trains. Boasting high resistance to vibrations and thermal variations, this solution enables continuous Internet connectivity and over the past year has been successfully deployed on board dozens of high speed trains traveling at speeds of over 300 km/h.

Among the company’s showcased products Orbit will also feature its Airborne SatCom system optimized for use onboard mission aircrafts and UAVs.
