Boeing last week delivered Europe's first two Next-Generation 737-900ER (Extended Range) airplanes to GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) and its leasing customer, Spanish carrier Futura International Airways, based in Palma de Mallorca.

First Boeing 777 Freighter Leaves Factory

Progress continues on the first Boeing 777 Freighter as the company's newest cargo airplane was towed out of its factory in Everett, Wash. and onto the flight line. Work will continue on the 777 Freighter to prepare for flight test this summer and to paint the airplane in the Boeing livery.

Lawsuit ends for Messa

Mesa Air Group, has announced that it entered into a settlement with Hawaiian Airlines concerning their long-running lawsuit over Mesa's inter-island flight services operated under the go! brand name. Under the terms of the Settlement and without admitting any wrongdoing, Mesa will receive $37.5 million from the Bond the Company previously posted with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Hawaii. Hawaiian Airlines will be entitled to the remaining collateral of the Bond totaling $52.5 million. This settlement does not restrict in any way go!'s ability to continue to offer services in the Hawaiian interisland market.

As a world leader in vacuum oil quenching of large aerospace components, VAC AERO is preparing for increases in commercial aircraft production that are forecast over the next few years. Atlantic Airways Takes Delivery Of An AW139

AgustaWestland has announced that Atlantic Airways Ltd of the Faroe Islands has taken delivery of an AW139 medium twin turbine engine helicopter during an official ceremony held at AgustaWestland’s Vergiate plant. The helicopter is configured for 12 or 15 seat layouts for both public passenger transport and offshore passenger transport operations.
