Swedish Defense Forces invest in Tiger

The Swedish Defense Forces are investing in communications security and accordingly FMV, the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration, is ordering more Tiger XS for encrypted telephony from Sectra. FMV is also ordering Sectra’s crypto for tactical radio. These crypto products protect telephone calls and radio communication from eavesdropping and are used by Swedish-led task forces. The order value is SEK 18 million.

Swedish Defense Forces streamline peacekeeping forces’ communications

Sectra has been commissioned by FMV, the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration, to further develop the Tiger system used by the Swedish Defense Forces for encrypted telephony. The solution being developed in cooperation with FMV will enable peacekeeping forces to communicate in a secure manner directly between headquarters and troops in the field. The order value amounts to SEK 13 million.

Sectra launches the first truly independent TETRA crypto solution

The police, Coast Guard, customs and other public safety agencies communicate vital information using the TETRA network. Sectra will be the first to launch a crypto solution that protects voice communication between TETRA terminals from various suppliers against eavesdropping. The launch will take place at the TETRA World Congress on May 26-29 in Munich
