Today, at Dassault Aviation's facility in Bordeaux, Merignac (France) at 1:55 PM (GMT+2), the new Falcon 2000DX took flight for the first time. Test pilots Denis Garnier and Herve Laverne were at the controls. The flight lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes. During the flight, the airplane was taken to an altitude of 41,000 feet and exceeded MMO (mach .86) to a maximum speed of mach .89. All systems performed as expected. |

Patrick Goudou, Executive Director of the EASA, and John Hickey, Director, Aircraft Certification Service for the FAA, were on hand to sign the type certificate. The Falcon 7X is expected to enter service before the end of June 2007. |

(Saint-Cloud, France, July 21, 2006) – Yesterday, the Falcon 7X completed 16 months of static and fatigue testing at CEAT in Toulouse, France. Testing began in March 2005 two months prior to the first flight of the Falcon 7X. Both the static and fatigue testing was accomplished using just one test article marking a first for Dassault civil aircraft. It was subjected to two times the design life of the airframe or 40,000 simulated cycles (2 x 20,000 flights). |
