P-8A Poseidon test aircraft T-1 successfully completed its first flight

Boeing's P-8A Poseidon test aircraft T-1 successfully completed its first flight on 25 April 2009, taking off from Renton Field at 10:43 a.m. and touching down at Boeing Field in Seattle at 2:14 p.m. The P-8A performed a series of flight checks, reached a maximum altitude of 25,000 feet, and landed after three hours, 31 minutes in the air.

The ScanEagle unmanned aircraft system (UAS), a joint effort of Boeing and its subsidiary Insitu Inc., last week flew its 150,000th hour in service with the U.S. Marine Expeditionary Forces, U.S. Navy, U.S. Special Operations Command, Australian Army and Canadian Forces. ScanEagle has provided persistent in-theater intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) to the joint forces in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2004.

Boeing demonstrates net-centric capabilities of tactical network in Australia

Boeing has demonstrated for the first time the ability to deliver streaming video over a mobile, ad hoc tactical network from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to a Chinook helicopter and ground troops. The demonstration proves that the high-bandwidth connection can deliver video beyond line-of-sight to the tactical edge, providing greater situational awareness to warfighters equipped to receive video.

On 25 Feb 09, Boeing transferred the third KC-767J tanker to the company's Japanese partner, Itochu Corp., for delivery to the Japan Ministry of Defense (MOD) and Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF). When Itochu officially delivers the aircraft in March, it will join two KC-767J tankers that Japan received in 2008.

Boeing, Singapore Technologies Aerospace Ltd (ST Aerospace) and ANA (All Nippon Airways) celebrated the completion and certification of the first 767-300 Boeing Converted Freighter at a redelivery ceremony held in Singapore today. Boeing launched the 767-300BCF passenger-to-freighter conversion program in 2005 with three firm orders and four options from ANA. Since then, ANA has exercised all the options and now has ordered seven passenger-to-freighter conversions in all.

Boeing has delivered its 700th Boeing 777 airplane, a 777-300ER (Extended Range), to International Lease Finance Corp. (ILFC) and its customer, Cathay Pacific Airways. The 777 Program reached this milestone after 12 years in service -- faster than any other twin-aisle airplane program in commercial aviation history. ILFC has ordered 79 Boeing 777s since 1992 and the airplane delivered today is its 74th, which makes ILFC the world's largest 777 customer.

Boeing and Continental Airlines today announced that the airline will be the first U.S. carrier to use the Boeing Class 3 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) on its 777s. Boeing has delivered the second of two 777-200ER airplanes equipped with the Class 3 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) to Continental Airlines. The airline accepted delivery of their first EFB-equipped 777-200ER in March. Continental also selected the Boeing EFB to retrofit on its previously purchased 777s.

Boeing - KLM Latest 777-200ER

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines took delivery of its 15th Boeing 777-200ER (Extended Range) last Friday from Paine Field in Everett, Wash., north of Seattle. KLM is leasing the airplane from International Lease Finance Corp. (ILFC). KLM, part of the Air France KLM Group, operates the 777-200ER on long-haul international routes from its Amsterdam base to cities such as Cape Town, Los Angeles and Tokyo.

Boeing - Lion Air First Delivery

The Boeing Company and launch- customer Lion Air today celebrated the delivery of the first Next-Generation 737-900ER (Extended Range) airplane. The airplane was delivered in a special dual paint scheme that combines the Lion Air lion on the vertical stabilizer and the Boeing livery colors on the fuselage. Boeing launched the 737-900ER program in July 2005 when Jakarta-based Lion Air announced the initial order for 30 of the newest 737 model. To date, Lion Air has ordered 60 737-900ERs.

Boeing and Arik Air today announced an order for three 787-9s, two 777-200 LRs (Longer Range) and two 777-300ERs (Extended Range) at the delivery ceremony for two new 737-700s that will soon begin operations from the airline's home base in Lagos, Nigeria. Boeing - Nakash Group Order Two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners

SEATTLE, Dec. 05, 2006 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] and Nakash Group of America today announced an order for two Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. Nakash Group of America is a multi-national, multi-billion dollar conglomerate that owns Arkia Israeli Airlines. Arkia, based in Tel Aviv, will operate the 787s, making it the first airline in Israel to offer 787 services to its passengers.

Boeing and Air India - Delivery of Next-Generation 737-800s

SEATTLE, Nov. 30, 2006 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] and Air India today celebrated the delivery of the first of 18 Next-Generation 737-800s to Air-India Express, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India. The delivery also marked the first airplane delivered to Air India following the airline's order for 68 Boeing jetliners, the largest commercial airplane order in India's civil aviation history. The order was placed in December 2005 and is valued at more than $11 billion at list prices.

Boeing: ANA Excercises Options For Two Additional 767-300

SEATTLE, Oct. 26, 2006 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] and Tokyo-based ANA (All Nippon Airways) today announced that the airline exercised options for two additional 767-300 Boeing Converted Freighters.
