The U.S. Navy has awarded Bath Iron Works, a subsidiary of General Dynamics, a $20.7 million contract to provide ongoing Lead Yard Services for the DDG 51 Arleigh Burke-class AEGIS destroyer program. This option-year exercise modifies a contract initially awarded in November, 2005 and extends the period of performance through June 30, 2009. |

The U.S. Navy has awarded Bath Iron Works, a subsidiary of General Dynamics, a $3 million contract to develop a preliminary design for the Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV) Program. Work to be performed during the next six months by Bath Iron Works and its teammate Rolls-Royce includes the functional definition of the ship structure, systems and general arrangements of ship spaces. |
