The U.S. Navy has completed developmental testing of a BAE Systems fiber-optic towed decoy, and has begun operational tests on the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet. The decoy is a key part of a system that will better protect military aircraft against enemy missiles.

BAE Systems has received a $31.6 million contract to manufacture Mk 14 Mod 2 Tomahawk missile launching canisters for the U.S. Navy. The canisters will house, safely transport and enable loading of the U.S. Navy's Tactical Tomahawk Missile for firing from the Mk 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS).

BAE Systems - Communications Systems delivered to Slovak Ministry of Defense

BAE Systems has delivered the first seven prototypes of a mobile military communications system (MOKYS) to the Slovak Ministry of Defense (MoD). After a series of successful tests, armored vehicles, including a Slovak TATRAPAN and a BAE Systems RG-32M equipped with MOKYS communications and information systems technologies were handed over in an official ceremony in Presov.

BAE Systems - Semiconductor for Space Use

BAE Systems has signed an agreement with Actel Corporation to produce a radiation-hardened field-programmable gate array (FPGA) semiconductor for space use. Development of the new semiconductor will address major obsolescence problems for a variety of legacy satellite programs. The FPGA will enable producers of satellite payloads and instruments to avoid time-consuming and costly redesigns and allow satellite programs to remain on schedule.
