Roush unveils its Lightweight Air-portable Battlefield Mule

Defence vehicle engineering specialist, Roush Technologies has announced an intensive international user trials programme to demonstrate the capabilities of the latest variant of its successful 6x6 lightweight air-portable platform. The programme includes a number of overseas locations and a wide variety of terrain, operational and climatic conditions.

Roush Technologies, the privately owned automotive and defence sector engineering specialist, has announced the first major order for its latest military ROPS (Roll-over Protection System) modular seating design. The contract, valued around £5million, is for the supply of over 1100 ESK (Enhanced Seating Kit) units and is scheduled for completion within a year.

Roush Technologies has won a £3.5+ million contract to develop a small, 6-wheel all-terrain vehicle (ATV) for the UK Ministry of Defence. The lightweight, high mobility modular platform will be designed for a number of applications. The new unit, for which Roush presented a creative and innovative concept, uses a number of advanced materials and design elements. It features a single seat driving position and offers a payload area that can be configured to meet a wide range of operational requirements.
