Pratt & Whitney Installs Geared Turbofan(TM) Engine Flight Nacelle System

Pratt & Whitney installed the flight inlet and nacelle system on the Geared Turbofan demonstrator engine in preparation for Phase II ground testing scheduled to begin next month. The nacelle system, provided by Geared Turbofan demonstrator program partner Goodrich, was installed during a fit check before final test sensors are connected and the engine returns to the test stand.

Pratt & Whitney and Turkish Airlines Technic Inc. (Turkish Technic), a Turkish Airlines company has signed a joint venture agreement to build an aircraft engine overhaul center in Istanbul today. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Pratt & Whitney - PW800 Engine Launched

Pratt & Whitney Canada has launched its next-generation 10,000-pound-thrust-class engine family, designated the PW800. The first engine, the PW810, has been selected by Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron company, to power its new Citation Columbus business aircraft. Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a United Technologies company.
